This is a gift for my pal Admiranda, who just lost her dear friend of 14 years. The poor little guy had a congestive heart failure so he had to be put to sleep. I know there is nothing I can say or do to ease the pain but I was just sort of hoping that maybe seeing her friend as her kitty guardian angel, waiting on her in Heaven might at least bring a slight measure of comfort. If not, she can at least laugh at my pathetic attempt at feline anatomy. This is the first cat I have ever drawn. Anyway, it's coloured pencil and acrylic, as usual. Took about 5 hours, as I had trouble working out the anatomy.

My 14 year old cat had to be put to sleep on Thanksgiving weekend of 2003 due to a tumour in his mouth, so I know how really tough that can be. I love the texture and color tones you've put into this.
